Doraemon
is a fictional character in the Japanese manga and anime series of the
same name created by Fujiko Fujio, the pen name of writing team Hiroshi
Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. He is a male robotic cat that travels back in
time from the 22nd century to aid a preteen boy named Nobita.

Synopsis: Nobi
Nobita is a 5th-grade boy in Tokyo. One day, a round, blue cat-style
robot (minus ears) pops up in his desk drawer. Nobita’s
great-great-grandson (or something) lives in the 22nd Century, but
thanks to Nobita’s mistakes, the entire family is living in poverty. To
rectify this, Nobita’s descendant sends Doraemon back to the past, to
help prevent Nobita from making mistakes.
